Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-23
1. Acceptance
These Terms govern your use of SimVendor Hosting ("we", "us", "the service"), operated by SimVendor. By creating an account or purchasing a server, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the legal minimum in your country) to create an account. By signing in with Steam, you confirm you own the Steam account you sign in with.
3. The service
SimVendor Hosting provides game-server hosting on managed Linux infrastructure for the games listed in our catalog. Each "server" is an isolated Docker container with allocated CPU, RAM, disk, and network ports.
You're responsible for the legality and licensing of any content (mods, configs, scripts) you upload to your server.
3.1 Game ownership
Some games require you to own a Steam account that owns the game. SimVendor Hosting installs the dedicated server binaries on your behalf using the credentials you provide. You're responsible for the licensing implications of running a dedicated server.
3.2 SimVendor mod injection
If you link a SimVendor account, your owned mods can be automatically installed on compatible servers (currently the Assetto Corsa family). Mods remain encrypted at rest on our infrastructure and are not extractable through the customer's SFTP / file manager — see our security model documentation. You may not attempt to bypass these protections.
4. Billing
Servers are billed monthly as Stripe subscriptions. Pricing is the amount displayed at checkout, in USD, exclusive of any applicable taxes. We may compute and collect tax automatically via Stripe Tax.
4.1 Renewals
Subscriptions auto-renew on the same calendar day each month. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel.
4.2 Upgrades and downgrades
Changing your plan or custom resource configuration triggers an immediate proration. Upgrades bill the prorated difference on the next invoice. Downgrades credit the prorated remainder.
4.3 Refunds
We honor a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time customers on their first server. After 7 days, fees are non-refundable — but you can cancel any time to stop future renewals. See our refunds policy for details.
4.4 Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries automatically for up to ~3 weeks. After exhausted retries, the server is suspended; after a further 7 days, the server is terminated and all files are deleted.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the customer dashboard. The server remains active until the end of the current billing period, then terminates and all files are deleted. No refund is issued for the remaining time in the period.
6. Acceptable use
See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full list. In short: no illegal content, no malware, no attacks against other services, no resource abuse beyond your plan's allocation.
7. Service availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime on the orchestration layer (storefront, billing). Individual game servers are subject to scheduled maintenance windows. We don't guarantee any specific uptime — but we publish live status at /status and back our service with engineering on-call.
8. Data and backups
We do not provide automated backups. You can download any file via the dashboard's file manager or SFTP at any time, and we recommend doing so before any major change. We are not responsible for data loss caused by your actions, third-party mods, or game updates.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
10. Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, the AUP, or applicable law. We may also terminate the service with 30 days' notice for any reason; in that case you receive a prorated refund for the unused time.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes go to the courts of Lisbon, subject to your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Contact
Questions: open a ticket from the customer dashboard, or email [email protected].
